About The BCM
As a ministry of Louisiana Baptists, the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Southern seeks to develop Southern Students into faithful Christian leaders and thinkers in the 21st Century. Our goal is to see that our students understand the importance of the Bible and the local church. The BCM is a ministry of the local churches in Baton Rouge that are seeking to reach students, faculty, and staff at Southern University with the gospel of Christ.

Hi. My name is Michael Aguillard Jr., and I oversee the BCM at Southern University. I have called Baton Rouge home for the past seventeen years and am the proud son of a Southern alumni. I am passionate about helping students grow in their relationship with God, learn how to be a part of the local church, and develop the skills and habits necessary to thrive in their personal ministries.
