About The BCM
As a ministry of Louisiana Baptists, the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Southern seeks to develop Southern Students into faithful Christian leaders and thinkers in the 21st Century. Our goal is to see that our students understand the importance of the Bible and the local church. The BCM is a ministry of the local churches in Baton Rouge that are seeking to reach students, faculty, and staff at Southern University with the gospel of Christ.

Hi. My name is Ta’Mya Duhon, and I oversee the BCM at Southern University. I am a 2025 McNeese Graduate and am originally from Bossier City, LA. Upon graduation, I served as the Associate Director of the BCM at McNeese before coming and serving as the Director, here, at the BCM at Southern with my loving husband, Larry and my amazing niece, Briella.
